New molecule or more tonnes at a plant

Tells API sellers who is entering their molecule, and buyers where a new source may appear in 1–3 years.

Example: rivaroxaban added at two Indian sites in 2025–2026.

↓ LEAVING

Molecule dropped or clearance surrendered

Tells buyers to qualify a second source now, not after shipments stop.

Example: mefenamic acid removed from a Nashik plant in 2026.

Plant starts making its own KSMs

A shorter, less China-exposed supply chain behind the API you already buy.

Example: IPCA files for 3,480 t/yr of losartan and valsartan intermediates.
